Los Altos
Tree lined streets and a small village atmosphere characterize Los Altos which is located in the northwestern corner of Silicon Valley. The seven square mile city is largely residential with small businesses, schools, libraries, parks and churches. Incorporated in 1952, Los Altos had long been fruit ranches and farms. Outstanding schools, large lots and a charming downtown have made Los Altos a charming place to call home.
Los Altos Hills
The Town of Los Altos Hills is a premier Silicon Valley residential community located adjacent to the City of Los Altos. The minimum lot size is one acre. Many homes are large with such amenities as pools, sport courts and secondary units. The residential community of Los Altos Hills is 8.4 square miles in area and has an additional 5.8 square miles of unincorporated land adjacent to the Town's boundaries. The tow is distinctive because of its rolling hills and picturesque valleys. Numerous creeks and densely wooded areas provided pleasant visual diversity. The Town's location contributes to a mild climate with only rare extremes of temperature.
Mountain View
Mountain View is located in the heart of Silicon Valley bordered by Palo Alto, Los Altos and Sunnyvale. Neighborhood parks, quality education and convenient shopping make Mountain View an attractive community. The city maintains a strong and diversified local economy. Downtown Mountain View provides a lively center to the city with a year-round farmers market, street fairs and open air concerts. In recent years, the City of Mountain View has developed some of the finest recreation facilities the Bay Area has to offer. The city's extensive park system not only provides an outstanding array of neighborhood parks, but includes an innovative regional park created from reclaimed landfill. Shoreline Park, built along San Francisco Bay, features an 18-hole golf course, a sailing lake and a wild life trail. Mountain View enjoys a lively mix of retail stores, executive offices, research and development firms, professional services and high-tech companies.
Palo Alto
Located 35 miles south of San Francisco and 14 miles north of San Jose, Palo Alto is a community of over 61,000 residents. The City encompasses an area of approximately 26 square miles of which one-third is open space. More than 100 years old, Palo Alto is named for a majestic 1000 year old Coastal Redwood tree along San Francisquito Creek where early Spanish explorers settled. The blend of business and residential areas anchored by a vibrant downtown defines Palo Altos's unique character. A charming mixture of old and new, Palo Alto's tree-lined streets and historic buildings reflects its California heritage. At the same time Palo Alto is recognized worldwide as a leader in cutting-edge technological development with Apple and Hewlett Packard having been started here. This exciting mix of tradition and innovation makes Palo Alto an extraordinary place in which to operate a business. Palo Alto is known as the 'Birthplace of Silicon Valley' and its residents are highly educated, politically aware and culturally sophisticated. Sunnyvale
The city of Sunnyvale is located about 10 miles west of San Jose and 50 miles south of San Francisco. Founded in 1912 Sunnyvale became a charter city in 1949. Plenty of work in the high-tech field iis found in Sunnyvale which has been recognized as one of America's best managed cities. Sunnyvale offers a beautiful, clean and welcoming environment with low crime rates, quality schools and 18 prize winning parks. Sunnyvale offers a half-acre dog park, skate park, golf courses, farmers market, shopping convenience and variety with more than 49 neighborhood and regional centers, including downtown shopping and dining at Murphy Avenue, a unique and historic business district.
